What a Ball

One of the biggest issues facing Tracks is the competing ideas between managers. Not to mention, some of their egos. Sometimes, the club’s bigger parties flop because something, or someone dropped the ball. Conflict among the management is often obvious at the night club and that leads to problems for the party goers.

But the same can not be said for last night’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball. It was — and there is no other word — fabulous.

The theme was executed with perfection. A wide variety of masks were on hand for everyone to wear, a chandler hung above the dance floor and other deco lead you to believe you were in a Victorian mansion.

Last year Tracks offered an all-you-can-drink package for $40. They underestimated the demand for such a package. Long lines formed in the Heaven Lounge (then, simply, the 80s room). The lines were worse than JR.’s best.

But this year — learning from their mistakes — not only did management opened up part of the adjoining EXDO Event Center — they gave customers only one option: drink as much as you want for $50.

Every bar was opened and there was a large table filled with desserts and fruit, and later breakfast.

To top off the evening not only were guests treated to swag bags with lube, music downloads and a tank top from UnderGear, the deejay, Scotty K., was one of the best Tracks has booked in recent memory. I’d go so far as to say if Tracks could offer Scotty a residency: they should.

Great job Tracks!
